Tensides
Are substances which lower the surface tension of a liquid or the interfacial tension between two phases and enable or support the formation of dispersions. They possess a group which is hydrophilic and another group mostly composed of a hydrocarbon (hydrophobic) part. The properties of tensides are essentially determined by the hydrophilic group.
