Soldering
Joining of metallic parts by melting and resolidifying of metals or metal alloys, so-called solders. As the solder’s melting point is lower than that of the parts to be connected, the latter do not melt during soldering (in contrast to welding). Usually, the solder is applied with a flux material to remove oxide layers. If necessary, soldering is done under inert gas.
